Life is constant change

There is no better time than now!

One’s life is lived on the moment, the past is gone and the future will always be the future. What we do now is what forges the future ahead.

That is why we need to learn, practice, and be in the moment.

This year has been full of gratifying experiences, life coaching, mentoring an tutoring like you see in the picture above (at The Hope Center) where students are having fun learning. One is doing robotics and the others learning to strategize playing chess. Later in July we had the opportunity to lead a workshop in collaboration with LULAC’s LNESC with the topic “Creating a Pathway to a Prosperous and Meaningful Life”. Below are some pictures of the students.

We continued collaboration with the Chemeketa College’s Woodburn Center and looking forward to a long partnership. We are grateful to Dean Elias Villegas for his unwavering support.

One aspect of our program that has taken priority is the development of peer mentors. With colleges and universities, we are recruiting students to be prepared as peer mentors for younger (high school) students, in order for them to create a long lasting mentoring relationship, which is difficult to achieve when there is a big age gap between mentor and mentee.

We, also, continue networking with like minded organizations and individuals. Forming coalitions and seeking common interests, we are in talks to continue collaboration with Capaces and PCUN in Woodburn OR, with MESA and Pacific University in Forest Grove OR, and hoping that the grant proposal that The Hope Center in Gresham, where we are participating, goes through. We are also grateful for you who have been supporting this endeavor, like Oregon State Representative Ricki Ruiz and many others.
