STEAM Hub 4 CISS

Great news!

We got notice from the IRS that our non-profit organization, STEAM Hub 4 CISS has been granted Tax Exempt 501(c)(3) status. So all paperwork has been completed and now we are ready to go!

First we want to thank so many people who supported our efforts and guided us with advise. This could have not been accomplished without your support. Things take time and great things take even more time, so we must continue knowing that the journey is long. We are on the first year and people have said that it takes at least three years for a nonprofit to stabilize. So let’s keep going!

Promotion and networking is critical for any organization to flourish. So this is what we have been doing. In fact, last Saturday November 9, 2024 Dr. Moses Lee Vice President of Scientific Research at the M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust and organizer of the annual conference of the Murdock College Science Research (MCSR) invited us to present at the closing ceremony of the conference a brief description of the purpose of our organization.

Next steps. A convocation of those who have shown interest to a hybrid meeting where a Board of Directors will be elected. A draft of the Bylaws to be presented and after a thorough discussion, approved after amendments. This draft will be emailed with the invitation to the meeting.

Other actions. In the mean time, the following activities need to be performed. investigating sources of funding and planning a fundraising strategy. Looking for partnerships and possible locations.

Over all we can see that, even though times are hard and uncertainties are abundant, the future is bright. The need is there so the opportunity is open for us to address.
